‘FAME Theatre Kids’ Is returning for 2024 with a brand new Disney Jr production which will be run like a theatre company that puts on a show. Our theatre kids shows will come in many different forms. Sometimes it will be a musical, other times a cabaret or theatre restaurant or a play/pantomime or a ‘Carols by Candlelight’. Each year will see a different experience for the kids. When a theatre company puts on show, they hold auditions for lead roles, singers, dancers, actors and chorus members. Once the parts for every company member have been cast, rehearsals take place until performance time. Get your kids involved in a show of a lifetime

HOW WILL IT WORK?
​
We have secured the rights to the Disney's Jr. production of Annie JR
All theatre kids will rehearse on Friday afternoons from 3:30pm – 5:00pm at FAME studios. Cast Members will be split into different rooms to learn different parts of the show. Your child will be rehearsing for the entire 1.5 hours, however, will rotate through different rooms and teachers.

Some weeks they might have a longer choreography session or a longer singing session. Each week will be different, depending on whatever needs attention that week. Students will be kept in age groups, like the previous junior, intermediate and senior levels we have had in the past. Unless your child is a lead role, then they will be rehearsing their appropriate scenes.

DATES:

Audition Packs will be sent out for those interested in auditioning for a lead role. If your child only wants to be in the chorus, they do not need to audition for a lead, but will need to attend the ensemble audition on the first day of rehearsals Friday, February 2, 2024. Every person will be included in the ensemble and the audition will be to determine some minor unnamed roles.

NO EISTEDDFOD GROUPS:
​
Fame Theatre Kids will not be entered in any eisteddfod groups for drama and music theatre for the Mackay Eisteddfod. They will be performing in two shows per year instead.

HOW CAN I ENROL IN THE THEATRE KIDS PROGRAM?
Please fill out the usual FAME Talent School enrolment form and select 'Theatre Kids'. Everyone has to enrol this way whether your child just wants to be in the chorus or try out for a lead.
